About Us

Little Jennie Ranch

Our livestock business runs a cow-calf and yearling operation. Our animals winter here at the ranch with us and then spend their summer grazing in the Bridger-Teton National Forest. As outfitting and livestock operators on the USFS, we strongly believe in caring for the land in every aspect of what we do, because it is our future. As stewards of the land, we do everything we can to constantly become better in how we teach, graze, travel, and utilize the land. The majority of our animals are sold commercially, but we do sell beef directly to folks. The quality of our beef and public interest in purchasing Little Jennie Ranch has pushed us to start growing our direct beef sales business. We have been selling whole and half beef, and plan to continue, but we are opening up the opportunity to buy smaller quantities and individual cuts. We plan to be at the Jackson Hole Famer’s Market this summer 2024 selling beef directly to folks! We also do have a small chicken herd where locals source eggs from us. Email us with any questions concerning buying beef or our products!

We started to incorporate the outfitting operation with the Little Jennie Ranch in the last several years. Our unmatched access to the Bridger Teton National Forest and use of the Little Jennie Ranch allow for experiences like no other. Our goal is to provide high-quality Western and authentic experiences to our guests. It has been a fantastic way to meet new people and share this amazing place we call home. Furthermore, it has been a great opportunity to share our goals with raising livestock, horsemanship, and the land. We work with a phenomenal crew of people here to help provide those experiences and share this place with you.

Historic Craig Cabin

The famous Craig Cabin was believed to have been built by an early trapper and his two nephews between 1898 and 1900 and was added to the National Registry of Historic Places in October 2016. Around the year 1902, Jack Craig moved into the cabin and filed a gold claim there. He said he was mining for gold successfully and sold shares in his mine, but there is no proof that Craig ever found gold there. Craig took water from Jack Creek for his mining business, which made local ranchers upset because they had rights to that water.

Around 1940, Craig left the area. Arthur Bowlsby took over the cabin and used it to help tourists get ready for hunting, fishing, and sightseeing trips. The Craig Cabin shows how fur trapping, gold mining, and outfitting were all important ways to make money in the Wild West.
